Songs that saved my life this year? “Desperation AM” from Wussy’s brilliant new release “Cincinnati OH”, and “Joker Lips” from MJ Lenderman’s. Both releases were standouts for me during a tough year.
While I don't think I'll match with most of you, I'm with Steve on Fastball's album this year! I also thought they disappeared after that one big album over 25 years ago. This one is filled with introspective and socially relevant tracks. I'm still a fan!
I did love No Name after Jack White's more experimental solo albums, but I see where you're coming from. Still, it's been on repeat for me as a long time White Stripes fan. And St. Vincent is fantastic as always!

That Wussy record is incredible. What a gift.
No spoilers, but don’t be surprised if the band shows up in Part 2. 😎

Big fan of Sault, Bonny Light Horseman, and Billie!
Me too! This isn't Sault's best album to date, mostly because there are just too many grooves out there that are nearly perfect.
