What's the saying - Early bird gets the worms? That's a lot of earworms for one brain. Feel free to release one via a guest post essay! That goes for you too, Jami!
It came out in 1995 [and was on the radio in '96 (WHOOPS)], the year in which I was arrested for DWI and sentenced to outpatient rehab, a victim-impact panel, and several 12-Step meetings per week. I heard these recovering addicts talk about miracles and living life beyond their wildest dreams, trusting the process, and being willing to believe that it might work for me.
"They say I must be one of the wonders, God's own creation
And as far as they see, they can offer no explanation
Ooh, I believe
Fate smiled and destiny
Laughed as she came to my cradle
Know this child will be able
Laughed as my body, she lifted
Know this child will be gifted
With love, with patience, and with faith
She'll make her way"
I heard these words and I thought "this would be a great theme song for someone who believes this thing might work. Wouldn't it be so much easier to just believe it?"
It hasn't always been easy and I still haven't quite nailed down how to make other people believe they deserve the same grace I've found, but 27 years later I'm still making my way.
im gonna comment here on yours since Kevin might hog all the love!😀😎
Not a chance! My post just came out early. 😀
